La Reyna Tortilleria and Café, a Mexican restaurant and homemade tortilla shop, is set to open Friday at the site of a former Burger King restaurant on Black Oak Drive in Paso Robles.
A $125,000 remodel of the building is almost complete. The 3,500-square-foot space has been transformed from a fast-food burger joint into a Mexican restaurant and fresh tortilla shop.
We have completely renovated the restaurant, inside and out, turning it into a fresh tortilla outlet and restaurant that offers a full menu, said Gary Pederson, who co-owns the market with business partners Salvador Ramos and Miguel Lopez.
The restaurant will also deliver tortillas to businesses throughout San Luis Obispo County.
Al pastor tacos, roasted chicken, sandwiches and burritos will be available for dine-in or take-out.
La Reyna Tortilleria and Café is at 1144 Black Oak Drive. The business will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week and will host live music and dancing Friday and Saturday nights.
