Many families tell tales of sibling rivalry, though occasionally there are siblings who are best friends for life. We have such a rare pair at the San Luis Obispo County Animal Services Shelter.
Mudgy and Mattie are 3-year-old brothers who love each other as much as they love being with people.
Mudgy is the quiet one who delights in being held. He will bury his face into your neck or be content just purring in your arms. Mattie also enjoys receiving attention from people; but hes the confident one, enjoying playing with toys and happily meowing.
Due to their great house manners, fondness for dogs and love of people, Mudgy and Mattie are ideal indoor cats. Its important for their safety that they be indoor kitties because their trusting nature makes them more vulnerable to predators.
Currently, these two siblings are in foster care and can be found curled up together sleeping in a basket or sitting side-byside in a window watching the world go by. Mudgy takes great comfort from having his confident brother by his side and Mattie relaxes peacefully next to Mudgy.
To help these two peas in a pod, Animal Shelter Adoption Partners is offering a mail-in $25 adoption fee rebate to whoever adopts the pair.
If you would like to meet Mudgy and Mattie please call their foster mom, Nicole, at 874-2142.
