Six fireworks stands are allowed to sell “safe and sane” fireworks in Arroyo Grande, and those wanting to obtain a permit for a fireworks stand can submit applications now.

The applications are due April 15. Permits are issued based on an eligibility list maintained by the Five Cities Fire Authority.

Applications are available at the Fire Cities Fire Authority at 140 Traffic Way from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Fireworks may be discharged starting at noon on July 3 through midnight July 5.
