An Oceano woman was arrested today after allegedly trying to give a baggie of marijuana to a friend incarcerated at San Luis Obispo County Jail.

Helen Elizabeth Bace, 43, was arrested at 1:49 p.m. after an off-duty correctional deputy noticed suspicious activity outside the jail facility on Kansas Avenue. Bace was arrested without incident and booked on suspicion of bringing a controlled substance to jail, a felony.

Bail is set at $25,000.
