Session will be held tonight

Want to be an official National Weather Service weather spotter? A training session tonight will tell you how to do just that.

The NWS will hold a weather spotter class starting at 6:30 tonight at the PG&E Energy Education Center on Ontario Road, just south of the intersection with San Luis Bay Drive.

Spotters are volunteers who notify the weather service whenever significant conditions develop.

The training is free and open to the public.
