Peoples’ Self-Help Housing has hired John D. Fowler as its new chief financial officer, overseeing financial administration duties for both Peoples’ Self-Help Housing and its affiliate property management nonprofit, The Duncan Group.

Fowler, a certified public accountant, previously served as provincial executive liaison with the Franciscan Friars of California; project manager for the restoration of Mission San Miguel and Mission San Luis Obispo; and chief executive officer at Mid-State Bank (now Rabobank) in Arroyo Grande.

Peoples’ Self-Help Housing provides affordable housing and programs leading to self-sufficiency for low-income families, seniors and other special-needs groups.
