The Arroyo Grande High boys basketball team defeated St. Joseph 60-47 on Friday night, ending with an 11-1 record in league play and securing its first outright PAC 7 title since 2001.
Matt Willkomm scored 22 points to pace the Eagles (18-8), including shooting 11 of 12 at the free-throw line.

Brent VanderVeen added 18 points had 12 rebounds, Brennan Rivera had seven points and 11 rebounds and Gunnar Gomez added eight points for Arroyo Grande.
Keith Datu led the Knights with 18 points and Bebe Vargas, the county’s leading scorer at 18.4 points per game, was held to just 13. The Eagles will advance to the CIF-Southern Section Section playoffs, which will begin next week.
Bracket pairings for boys and girls basketball are to be announced Sunday along with girls water polo, with boys and girls soccer pairings to be announced Monday.
Morro Bay 80, Lompoc 54
Scott Milligan led the Pirates (17-9, 10-2) to a share of their second straight Los Padres League championship with 21 points and 21 rebounds.
Bryce Owens had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Morro Bay, and Edward Griley added 11.
Righetti 70, Paso Robles 42
In their last game of the season, Josh Wilson-Murry led the Bearcats (7-18, 2-10 PAC 7) with 15 points. Rudy Binkele added eight points for Paso Robles.
San Luis Obispo 74, Pioneer Valley 61
Four players scored in double figures for the Tigers (13-12, 6-6 PAC 7), who defeated the Panthers in their regular-season finale.
Chandler Torres led San Luis Obispo with 21 points, while Scott Inman added 15 points, Matt Moore scored 14 and Quintin Cortez put up 10.
Templeton 58, Nipomo 44
Jackson Wheeler led the Eagles (11-14, 8-4 LPL) with 19 points in their victory over the Titans, making 10 of 10 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.
Trailing by one at halftime, Templeton used a 19-7 run in the third quarter to propel past Nipomo.
Ryan McNeil scored a game-high 32 points for Nipomo and added nine rebounds.
Coast Union 74, Cuyama Valley 36
The Broncos (14-6, 11-1 Coast Valley League) secured the league championship behind Angel Avina, who had 34 points in the Broncos’ win over the Bears (3-11, 3-9 CVL).
Quinten Raethke added 22 points for the Broncos.
Morro Bay 47, Lompoc 41
Hanna Gilbert scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Carli Watt scored 10 of her 12 points in the fourth quarter and the Pirates (19-3, 12-0 LPL) rallied past the Braves (8-15, 6-6 LPL) late to secure an undefeated league record.
Righetti 50, Paso Robles 40
Mariah Cook scored 33 points for the Warriors as Righetti (13-11, 6-5 PAC 7) defeated the Bearcats (10-14, 3-8 PAC 7). Amani White scored 12 points for Paso Robles.
Pioneer Valley 46, San Luis Obispo 36
Erica Chandler scored 20 point, but the Tigers (9-16, 2-10 PAC 7) lost in their season finale on the road against the Panthers (10-13, 2-10 PAC 7).
Templeton 62, Nipomo 47
Mari Stewart led the Eagles (19-7, 10-2 LPL) with 35 points and 15 rebounds in their victory over the Titans.
Lauren Stuedemann added 13 points and a game-high 10 assists and five steals for Templeton.
Coastal Christian 61, Shandon 17
Roni Garrison scored 21 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead the Conquerors (8-7, 8-4 CVL) to the home blowout of the Outlaws (2-13, 1-10 CVL).
Coastal Christian finished in third place in the CVL.
San Luis Obispo 4, Pioneer Valley 0
The Tigers (18-2-2, 10-1-1 PAC 7) captured the PAC 7 title with the win over the Panthers.
Matthew Connely scored two goals, and Paul Sullivan and Jordan Knauer scored one goal apiece for San Luis Obispo. Sullivan also had two assists.
Paso Robles 2, Righetti 1
The Bearcats (13-4-7, 7-3-2) defeated the Warriors to end the regular season and finish third in the PAC 7 standings.
Brian Mercado scored in the first minute for Paso Robles, and Marco Guy increased the lead the two before the end of the first half. Jesus Gil had three saves in goal for the Bearcats.
Arroyo Grande 3, St. Joseph 0
The Eagles (12-10-4, 6-4-2 PAC 7) scored three times in the first 17 minutes to defeat the Knights.
Christian Chora scored two goals for Arroyo Grande, and Jorge Cortiz added one.
Eagles goalie Alex Montero earned two saves.
Coast Union 4, Mission Prep 0
Victor Casas scored a hat trick in the first half to lead the Broncos (12-2-2) to the victory over the Royals.
Oscar Catalan scored the fourth goal before the end of the half, and goalie Juan Leonardo had four saves for Coast Union.
San Luis Obispo 3, Pioneer Valley 2
Kristin Smith, Darla Berkefeld and Sydney Knauer scored a goal apiece as the Tigers (17-6-3, 8-3-1) finished in second place in the PAC 7. Goalkeepers Lauren Harper and Lilly McCanan had two saves apiece for San Luis Obispo.
St Joseph 3, Arroyo Grande 2
Lupita Leon scored two goals for the Eagles (16-9, 8-8-4 PAC 7), but Arroyo Grande fell to the Knights on the road.
Mission Prep 2, Coast Union 1
Victoria Gill and Sydney Rathjens scored a goal for the Royals (12-10-1). Grace Oeser had 10 saves in goal for Mission Prep.
