Supporters of a local version of the Dignity Village for the homeless in Portland, Ore., will meet at 10 a.m. Friday in San Luis Obispo at the Creekside Mobile Home Park clubhouse, 3960 S. Higuera St.
The meeting will include a status report from members who have been working on communications, on outreach to Cal Poly students, and on outreach to the homeless, among other endeavors.
Local activists are seeking to emulate “Dignity Village” in Portland which draws the homeless themselves into all aspects of its housing project.
