Arroyo Grande High football star Seth Jacobs announced tonight that he will play collegiately at Oklahoma State.
Jacobs, rated as a four-star linebacking recruit by most of the national scouting services, made his announcement live on KSBY TV. Today was National Letter of Intent signing day, the first day high school football recruits from across the country can sign their letters of intent.
Oklahoma State went 12-1 this past season and won the Big 12 Conference title. The Cowboys appeared in a BCS bowl game for the first time in school history and defeated Stanford 41-38 in overtime to win the Fiesta Bowl. Oklahoma State finished the season ranked third in the country.
This past season, Jacobs, in his senior season, led Arroyo Grande to a 13-1 record and the CIF-Southern Section Western Division championship, the Eagles' first divisional title since 1998. Jacobs and teammate Garrett Owens shared The Tribune's County Player of the Year honor.
Earlier today, Owens and Arroyo Grande's Garrett Weinreich and Brent VanderVeen all signed letters of intent to play college football at Oregon State.
