Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated when the arrest occurred. Stephen Glispey was arrested Thursday.
An Ivanhoe, Calif., resident was arrested on Thursday evening after Pismo Beach police received a report of a vehicle burglary at the Pismo Beach Athletic Club about 10:45 a.m.
Police obtained video surveillance of the suspect and arrested 29-year-old Stephen Glispey on suspicion on felony burglary and possession of burglary tools, according to Detective Sgt. Steve Weir.
Investigators later searched Glispeys room at the Motel 6 in the 1400 block of Calle Joaquin in San Luis Obispo, and found stolen property a purse that they linked to a vehicle burglary that reportedly happened in San Luis Obispo the same day.
Weir said a purse was also taken from a vehicle at the Pismo Beach Athletic Club in the 1700 block of Price St.
Glispey was being held in lieu of $20,000 bail at the San Luis Obispo County Jail but has since posted bail.
San Luis Obispo police assisted with the investigation.
