A psychiatric technician was assaulted in one incident, a registered nurse was assaulted in another incident, and both a psychiatric technician and a registered nurse were assaulted in a third incident.
The patient suspected in the third incident, 55-year-old Michael Anthony Richard, was arrested Friday on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail, where he remained Tuesday afternoon on an active hold, according to jail records.
The employees, whose names and injuries were not disclosed, were treated in the hospital's medical area.
Investigations into the three incidents are ongoing, Dacus said.
