Paso Robles honors King holiday

Paso Robles celebrated the efforts of King with a peace march and art. Paso Robles High School’s Gay-Straight Alliance and Students Against Violence Everywhere took part in the evening event, which also featured a choir performance and speakers. A mural of a painted rainbow created by local youths was used as a backdrop for the celebration. “Rainbows represent diversity, which is a huge part of Mr. King’s message,” city recreation services manager Lynda Holt said. King’s birthday will be observed Monday as a national holiday.

  • Do not copy and paste outside material into the comment box.
  • Don't repeat the same comment over and over. We heard you the first time.
  • Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.
  • Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
