A 37-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after a sheriff's deputy found stolen mail and burglary tools in her car, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriffs Office.
Sabria Ann Echevarria of Paso Robles was pulled over by a deputy about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday at 24th and Oak streets because the car she was driving was missing a license plate, according to a news release.
The deputy discovered burglary tools in the vehicle, along with mail not addressed to the driver, sheriffs officials said.
At least seven people have been identified as victims of mail theft in the rural Paso Robles area.
Echevarria was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property, a felony; possession of burglary tools, which could potentially be prosecuted as a misdemeanor or a felony; and driving with a suspended license, a misdemeanor. She remains in custody in San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $22,000 bail.
