Patients have attacked three employees at Atascadero State Hospital since Friday, the hospital confirmed Wednesday.

The first incident occurred Friday when a patient reportedly assaulted a psychiatric technician, ASH spokesman Craig Dacus said.

The second incident occurred Saturday when another patient reportedly assaulted two employees: a nursing employee and later a psychiatric technician.

Dacus did not disclose the employees' names, their injuries or where at the hospital the assaults took place. He did say that all of the employees attacked were seen in the hospital's medical area.

No arrests were made, and the investigation is ongoing, he added.

ASH is a high-security state hospital in southeast Atascadero that treats mentally ill inmates from the correctional system and other violent offenders.
