Images of the suspect in a New Years Eve robbery of a Walmart in Paso Robles were captured by a surveillance camera at the store entrance, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.
The middle-aged man seen in the security footage used a note to rob the Walmart store about 7:30 Saturday night.
Police say the man was in his 40s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighed about 180 pounds.
The man was last seen wearing a dark-blue hoodie sweatshirt with a white Adidas logo, blue jeans, a dark baseball cap and black shoes. He was last seen running toward River Road.
According to Sgt. Tod Rehner of the Paso Robles Police Department, the man stood in the stores return line just off the main entrance to the Walmart at 180 Niblick Road, walked to the counter about 7:28 p.m. and handed a note demanding money to an employee.
He took an undisclosed amount of cash and the note, said Rehner, who added that the entire interaction with the store employee lasted about 15 to 20 seconds.
No weapon was seen and no one was hurt, Rehner added.
Paso Robles police are asking anyone with information about the man seen in the surveillance images to call 237-6464 or make an online crime tip report at www.prcity.com/police.
