New bridge links walkers and cyclists to Bob Jones trail in SLO

A bridge was installed earlier this week over San Luis Creek near Prado Road and South Higuera Street to provide a safe link for pedestrians and cyclists to the Bob Jones Bike Trail.

People were having a difficult time accessing the trail safely because there are no sidewalks on the Prado bridge, said Mike McGuire, city engineer.

The $302,000 bridge, being installed by Souza Construction of San Luis Obispo, was paid for mostly through federal grant money.

  • Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
