Cal Poly senior cornerback Asa Jackson has been selected to the Associated Press Football Championship Subdivision All-American third team, becoming the first Mustang to be honored by the news agency in three years.
Named Cal Polys most valuable defensive player last week, Jackson became the first player in the history of the Great West conference to earn first-team defensive honors in four seasons.
Jackson had 54 tackles in his senior season and two interceptions, both of which were returned for touchdowns.
