Police say that a man wearing a nylon mask brandished a handgun and reportedly robbed an employee of the Subway restaurant in downtown San Luis Obispo on Saturday.
An 18-year-old employee, whose name was not disclosed, reported the robbery at the 785 Marsh St. eatery about 10 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release by the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
The robber reportedly showed a small-caliber handgun and demanded that the employee open the cash register, police said.
The robber repeatedly kicked the victim while demanding he open the register, according to police, and then fled after getting an undisclosed amount of money.
Police say that they obtained evidence of the robbery, but are not disclosing what it is.
