Arroyo Grande City Council. Meets Tuesday. 473-5400. Request from South County Sanitary Service for a trash-pickup rate increase; review the city’s draft housing element — one part of its general plan — and authorize it to be sent to the state Department of Housing and Community Development.

Atascadero City Council. Meets Tuesday. 461-5000. Nominations for new mayor and vice mayor appointments; consider changing Walmart/The Annex environmental study to provide an option that drops The Annex.

Oceano Community Services District Board of Directors. Meets Wednesday. 481-6730. Notice of public hearing for proposed trash-pickup rate increase; discussion of possible letter to local agencies, including the county and the Nipomo Community Services District, to “stop the flow of seawater intrusion misinformation” regarding 2009 tests of a sentry well in Oceano.

Paso Robles Planning Commission. Meets Tuesday. 237-3888. Interviews and appointments for two open commission seats.

Port San Luis Harbor District Board of Commissioners. Meets Tuesday. 595-5400. Review policy and fee changes for special-event permits and licenses and schedule public hearing; update on Harford Pier warehouse stabilization.

Setting a date for a truancy ordinance hearing; authorizing an Internet public auction for tax-defaulted properties; authorizing expenditure of $148,633 to install parking kiosks at San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport; approving an agreement for professional engineering services with HDR Engineering for $7,686,295 for the Los Osos sewer; discussion of budget for the San Luis Obispo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District; proclaiming Dec. 21 National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day.

  • Stay on topic. Only post comments relevant to the article at hand. If you want to discuss an issue with a specific user, click on his profile name and leave him a public message.
  • Do not copy and paste outside material into the comment box.
  • Don't repeat the same comment over and over. We heard you the first time.
  • Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.
  • Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
