The Cal Fire/San Luis Obispo County Firefighters Benevolent Association is holding its 21st annual Operation Santa Claus 2011 toy drive.
The annual toy drive provides toys to kids who are under the care and protection of San Luis Obispo County Child Protective Services.
The toy drive begins Monday, Nov. 28, and continues through Dec. 22. Residents and local businesses are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys and gifts or money.
Donations can be dropped off at any Cal Fire/San Luis Obispo County fire station and at the Morro Bay Fire Department. The public is urged to make donations as soon as possible to assist volunteers with distribution before Christmas.
Operation Santa Claus is a nonprofit volunteer program that has helped more than 4,000 children throughout San Luis Obispo County since 1990.
