Three of the four San Luis Obispo County high school boys water polo teams that advanced to the CIF-Southern Section playoffs will host first-round games, according to brackets released Sunday.
Los Padres League champion Nipomo, the No. 1 overall seed in Division 7, and PAC 7 programs Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo will all open the playoffs at home. Paso Robles, the fourth-place team from the PAC 7 will start away. All matches are scheduled for 5 p.m. starts.
The Titans (20-4) will host the winner of Tuesdays wild-card match between visiting Cathedral (10-18) and Westminster (8-15) in Nipomo on Thursday.
In Division 4, the Eagles (16-7) follow up a second-place PAC 7 finish by welcoming Sunny Hills (14-14), an at-large team from the Freeway League on Tuesday. The winner will travel to Redlands East Valley (23-4), the Citrus Belt champion.
Westlake (18-10), the fourth-place team from the Marmonte League, will visit San Luis Obispo on Tuesday for the right to take on San Gabriel Valley champion Cerritos (17-10).
Paso Robles (13-15) is at Downey (16-10) on Tuesday.
The victor will travel to Simi Valley Royal (19-7) to take on the second-place finisher from the Marmonte.
PAC 7 champion Righetti (26-3) earned the No. 2 seed in Division 4 and will host either Newbury Park or Redlands after receiving a bye into the second round.
