Granite Construction will begin work Sunday to move traffic from the current detour to the northbound bridge by the Highway 101-Willow Road interchange in Nipomo, which is under construction, the county Department of Public Works announced in a news release.
The process, the county says, could take two to four days. Work will be done on the median for the following week or two, and then southbound traffic will be moved to the median detour, the DPW said. That will allow Granite to build the southbound freeway bridge.
