The male driver of a pickup truck was taken to Arroyo Grande Community Hospital this morning after a solo-vehicle crash in Grover Beach.
Police responded to the report of a crash at 11:33 a.m. in the 200 block of West Grand Avenue, said Grover Beach police Sgt. Chris Sweeton.
Sweeton said the man had apparently driven his 1994 Toyota truck over the center island, hit the concrete pillar of a privately owned street lamp, struck a sign and then hit a parked car before stopping in a parking lot. No one was in the parked car at the time, and no other injuries were reported.
The mans name and the extent of his injuries were not immediately available. Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash, Sweeton said.
