Atascadero Unified School District Board of Trustees. Meets Tuesday. 462-4200. Proposed revision of policies and regulations regarding health examinations, academic standards, instructional materials and other items; how to increase student achievement in math; proposed district goals for 2011-12 academic year.

Lucia Mar Unified School District Board of Education. Meets Tuesday. 474-3000. Reports on board priorities, including Grover Beach Elementary School International Baccalaureate program, New Tech High School proposed in Nipomo and a teacher evaluation program; update on home-to-school transportation.

Pismo Beach City Council. Meets Tuesday. 773-7003. Public hearing on update of the land use element, one part of the city’s general plan — its blueprint for regulating development; letter to the San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District on plans to reduce levels of particulate pollution on the Nipomo Mesa that a study claims comes from the Oceano Dunes.

San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors. Meets Tuesday. 781-5011. San Miguel community plan update; declaration of November as Thank a Veteran Month and National Adoption Month; proposal by Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos to create a museum on 29 acres in Nipomo focusing on cultural and natural resources of the Nipomo Creek watershed and Nipomo Mesa.

Templeton Community Services District Board of Directors. Meets Tuesday. 434-4900. Plan for managing salts and nutrients; sewage treatment plant alternatives; lease agreement on grazing and feed storage.

  • Stay on topic. Only post comments relevant to the article at hand. If you want to discuss an issue with a specific user, click on his profile name and leave him a public message.
  • Do not copy and paste outside material into the comment box.
  • Don't repeat the same comment over and over. We heard you the first time.
  • Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.
  • Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
