San Luis Obispo High's football team fell 19-12 at Righetti despite holding a 12-11 advantage with under two minutes to play in the PAC 7 game.
Down by one and facing a fourth-and-5 from the San Luis Obispo 30-yard line, the Warriors (5-2, 2-1 PAC 7) connected on a 27-yard pass play, putting the ball at the Tigers’ 3. Righetti ran for a touchdown two plays later for the win.
San Luis Obispo (5-2, 2-1 PAC 7) quarterback Garrett Giovannelli finished with 69 yards on 7-of-16 passing and ran for 67 yards on 10 carries, including a 51-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Jacob Flores had 51 yards on 14 carries, and Trevor McGuire had 56 yards on six catches to lead the Tigers.
