Prep Roundup: San Luis Obispo boys water polo splits games at tournament

San Luis Obispo High’s boys water polo team split two games Friday at the Oxnard Tournament, losing to Newbury Park 6-4 and defeating Oxnard 8-0.

The Tigers (14-8) were led by Casey Blauer, who scored five combined goals in the two games, and Nick Eaton scored two. Darren Paul had eight saves in the shutout of Oxnard.

Coastal Christian girls volleyball team wins

Coastal Christian’s girls volleyball team swept visiting Valley Christian Academy 25-16, 25-16, 25-7 in a Coast Valley League match.

Koral Wright led Coastal Christian (9-1, 6-1) with 22 digs, Leslie Henry had seven kills, and JoAnn Lindstaedt had 14 assists.
