Nora Zakaria shot a 4-over 39 on Monday afternoon for the San Luis Obispo High girls golf team in a PAC 7 dual against Atascadero at Dairy Creek, but the Greyhounds won, 226-270.
While Zakaria was the medalist, Kyleigh Jensen (42), Danyele Rampone (43) and Marissa McClain (44) carried Atascadero to the victory.
Sam Tsau had the second-best score for San Luis Obispo with a 52, followed by Sam Lopezs 53.
Paso Robles 246, Dos Pueblos 249
Although Vanessa Villa shot a 3-over 38 to earn medalist honors at Glen Annie Golf Course, the Bearcats had better depth, carrying them to the programs first win over the Chargers in several years.
Claire Baldal paced Paso Robles with a 41, while Ashley Levanduski carded a 42. Michaela Howard and Taylor Gaminde each shot 53s.
Nipomo 237, Morro Bay 247
Sara Clark continued her strong season for the Titans, carding a 7-over 42 at Morro Bay Golf Course.
Although the Pirates lost, Gina Wongwatcharanon and Jennifer Baltimore each shot 40s.
Ashley Gonzales added a 46 and Courtney Cuzick a 48 for Nipomo.
GIRLS TENNIS
Cabrillo 12, Nipomo 6
In singles, the Titans (2-4 Los Padres League) were led by Lauren Kueffler (who went 3-6, 6-2, 6-0) and Kelly Barrett (6-1, 6-4, 6-7).
Gianna Abati and Ann Wardlaw won two of three sets in doubles, going 6-3, 1-6, 6-3.
Santa Maria 17, Morro Bay 1
Lily Quirk won a singles set for the Pirates, 6-1.
In doubles, Sarah Keas and Amanda Newport had a narrow defeat, losing a tiebreaker 7-2.
