Firefighters this afternoon quickly doused a one-acre brush fire that burned behind the administration building of Independence High School on Niblick Road in Paso Robles.
The blaze was reported at 2:47 p.m. and it took firefighters about 15 minutes to contain it, said Ken Johnson with the Paso Robles Fire Department. Two engines from Paso Robles and one Cal Fire engine responded.
