Four Cal Poly baseball players have been named as top summer league prospects by Baseball America this week.
Mustangs outfielder Mitch Haniger was named the No. 3 pick out of the Northwoods League, pitcher Nick Grim was chosen as the No. 9 pick from the California Collegiate League, shortstop Mike Miller was ranked No. 10 in the Alaska League, and pitcher Chase Johnson was also No. 10 in his league, the West Coast Collegiate League.
Chance to win Packers tickets through Cuesta fundraiser
Cuesta College is hosting a fundraiser for its sports programs that will include a raffle with Green Bay Packers tickets as a grand prize.
Those who donate $100 will be entered to win a choice of two tickets to attend either the Packers game against the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 14 or against the Oakland Raiders on Dec. 11.
Airfare, three nights of hotel lodging, a rental car and a dinner at Brett Favres Steakhouse are included. Donations of $500 put five tickets in the raffle; $1,000 buys 10 raffle tickets. The drawing will be held Oct. 10.
