Arroyo Grande police say they’ve arrested a man wanted on suspicion of attempted murder in Santa Maria.
Officers arrested Henry Castillo, 37, of Santa Maria, after 6:30 a.m. Saturday at the Premier Inn at 555 Camino Mercado, just off of Highway 101, according to an Arroyo Grande Police Department news release issued Sunday afternoon.

After being arrested without incident, he was handed over to the Santa Maria Police Department, authorities said.
An Arroyo Grande officer had seen Castillo about 1:40 a.m. on Friday while patrolling the hotel, but was not certain of his identity, police said.
A Santa Maria police flier confirmed it was Castillo, and motel management confirmed someone matching his description was staying there.
