SAN DIEGO Ending a two-game winning streak for the Cal Poly football team in Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego State cruised to a season-opening 49-21 victory over the Mustangs on Saturday in San Diego.
Aztecs sophomore running back Ronnie Hillman had 189 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and senior quarterback Ryan Lindley passed for 203 yards and four TDs as San Diego State (1-0) scored on four of its first five possessions.
