Paso Robles Claire Baldal medaled after she carded a 43 for nine holes at the par-35 Morro Bay Golf Course, helping the Paso Robles High girls golf team to a 249-272 win over the Morro Bay Pirates on Friday.
Ashley Levanduski shot 44, and Amber Eye also shot 52 for Paso Robles.
For Morro Bay, Chayanee Wongwatcharanon shot a team-low 46.
Mission Prep girls top Morro Bay in tennis
The Mission Prep girls tennis team (1-1) needed a doubles win in the final set to capture its first victory in 20 matches with a 10-8 win over Morro Bay.
Mission Prep swept singles play, including strong performances from Ruslana Cannell (6-3, 6-1, 6-0) and Ricquel Santos (6-4, 6-3, 6-0).
After the Pirates (0-2) rallied and won the first eight doubles sets, the Royals top doubles team of Sydney Raphjens and Sarah Salvini defeated Morro Bays Emily Delk and Amanda Newport 6-2, securing the victory for Mission Prep.
Morro Bay had two doubles teams sweep. Emily Franzmann and Clare Olson swept 7-5, 6-0, 6-0 and Tess Badrigian and Claire Vogel swept 7-5, 7-5, 6-2.
Shandon downs Orcutt Academy in volleyball
The Shandon girls volleyball team won its season-opener over Orcutt Academy 25-20, 25-13, 25-20.
Kayla Celis had six kills and seven digs for the Outlaws. Adilene Torres added six kills, while Dontablia Henderson supplied four aces and a block.
