Cal Poly shortstop Mike Miller was named a first-team All-American by Perfect Game USA on Thursday, after helping the Kenai Peninsula Oilers to the National Baseball Congress World Series championship game.
Miller won the Alaska Baseball League batting championship after hitting .359 with nine doubles, three triples and 21 RBI. He also hit .286 in seven NBC World Series games. The Oilers lost to the Santa Barbara Foresters in the national championship game.
