Cal Poly received the only other first-place vote and 40 points. Cal State Fullerton (32 points) and defending regular season champion UC Irvine (30 points) were picked for third and fourth, respectively.

Cal Poly returns seven starters from last season’s team that finished third in the Big West at 5-3-2 and was 8-7-3 overall.
