A grand opening of the new post office near Nacimiento Lake is planned for today.
The office is located at the Oak Hill Center off Lake Nacimiento Drive at 2150 Heritage Loop Road.
The post office is next to the shopping center’s two anchor tenants, the 25,000-square-foot Oak Hill Market and the Fill & Save Fuel Station.
Officials say the opening is a long-awaited necessity for those who live in the rural communities of Heritage Ranch and Oak Shores, about 20 minutes from Paso Robles.
The event is planned from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with an opening talk from San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Frank Mecham.
