The accident was reported to the CHP at 6:10 p.m. Initially it was reported that the motorcycle driver had crashed into the back of a semi truck. But another witness told the officers the motorcyclist spun out trying to pass the big rig.
The motorcycle driver was said to be standing up on the right hand shoulder. Medical personnel have been called.
