In a PAC 7 dual between Atascadero and San Luis Obispo high schools on Monday, the Greyhounds’ Randy Armas and the Tigers’ Adam Zakaria both shot 73s to tie for medalist honors.

But Armas was backed up a little bit better, and Atascadero edged out a 395-403 win at par-72 Chalk Mountain.

The Greyhounds had Austin Jensen card a 79, and Josh Vering and Casey West were each at 80.

Michael Zakaria shot an 80 for San Luis Obispo, and teammates Hunter Ingles and Jay Porter both had 83s.

Morro Bay 224, Lompoc 253

The Pirates’ Doug Chesbro was the medalist with a 2-over, 9-hole 38 in windy conditions at La Purisima.

Luke Holzschuh added a 42 for Morro Bay (5-0 Los Padres League), and Austin Peters shot a 45.

Nipomo 216, Templeton (no team score)

Templeton’s Tanner Westbrook tied Nipomo’s Steve Canales with a 3-over 38 on the front nine at Monarch Dunes to share medalist honors, but the Eagles didn’t have enough players to qualify for a complete team score in the Los Padres League dual.

Jacob Camacho shot a 39 for Nipomo (2-3 LPL).

St. Joseph 424, Paso Robles 456

Albert Mendoza had the best score for the Bearcats at Hunter Ranch with a 92, and Jacob Clements shot a 94.

May to Sonoma State

Arroyo Grande’s Alexa May will sign a national letter of intent Friday to play at Sonoma State.

May was an all-CIF Southern Section Division 3 second-team honoree this past season, helping to lead the Eagles to a 27-6 overall record and an undefeated PAC 7 championship. The Eagles lost in the semifinals of the CIF-Southern Section Division 3 playoffs.

Arroyo Grande has won 78 straight league games, and from May’s freshman to junior seasons, the Eagles won three straight Division 4 championships.

The Seawolves, who compete at the Division II level, had another Arroyo Grande alumna on their roster this year, senior driver Emily Pearce.
