A teenager was arrested Thursday after he allegedly wrote graffiti on a business in downtown San Luis Obispo.
An officer saw the 18-year-old writing with a black pen on a wall at 5:15 p.m., according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo Police Department. He was writing the letters "SAV" with the pen.
The man fled when the officer approached him, according to the department. After a short foot chase, the man was arrested.
Officers searched the area and found other locations that had similar markings.
The man, who is from Aromas, east of Watsonville, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and resisting arrest. He was booked into County Jail.
