A fire that happened Wednesday evening in Grover Beach caused the total loss of a garage, according to the Five Cities Fire Authority.
Fire officials are still investigating the reason for the blaze reported around 6 p.m. at a single-family home on the 1700 block of Ramona Avenue, at the intersection with Oak Park Boulevard.
The blaze caused an estimated $50,000 to $80,000 in damage, said Capt. Randy Steffan.
Steffan said that nobody was hurt in the fire, which fully engulfed the garage. Nobody was believed to be inside the residence when the fire broke out, he said.
Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading into the living area, though a breezeway suffered some damage.
