Magazine spotlights local architect

Erik Justesen, a landscape architect and CEO of RRM Design Group, is highlighted in the April edition of the magazine Men’s Journal as part of a feature on San Luis Obispo. The city was recognized along with other top towns in America.

Justesen is called a “model citizen” by the magazine, and shares how he can use his design work to create bike paths that he then gets to ride on. “We take a lot of pride in making these things happen. And then we get to ride them. That’s an amazing feeling of satisfaction.”

The article about San Luis Obispo notes recent publicity the city received from its inclusion in the book “Thrive,” which called it one of the happiest places in the world.

Citing the town’s small-town charm, proximity to the ocean and surrounding greenbelt, Men’s Journal says “no one moves to San Luis Obispo to get rich, but the strawberries at the farmers market are awesome.”

  • Stay on topic. Only post comments relevant to the article at hand. If you want to discuss an issue with a specific user, click on his profile name and leave him a public message.
  • Do not copy and paste outside material into the comment box.
  • Don't repeat the same comment over and over. We heard you the first time.
  • Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.
  • Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
