Heading to the ark

11:50 a.m. March 27, 6955 Sycamore Road in Atascadero

Two horses were reported in the roadway. They were returned to their owner.

Also going to the ark

11:59 a.m. March 27, 4760 El Verano Ave. in Atascadero

Two loose, aggressive dogs were reported in the street. Officers were unable to locate the animals.

Definitely an ark around

12:08 p.m. March 27, 9805 Laurel Road in Atascadero

Two loose cows were reported in the street.

Going to Floatopia?

2:57 p.m. March 27, Curbaril Avenue at Valle Avenue in Atascadero

A resident reported two 12- to 13-year-old children running down Curbaril Avenue toward the Salinas River with a kiddie pool. The resident was concerned they may try to float down the river. Officers contacted the juveniles and turned them over to their parents.

Try positive reinforcement

9:57 a.m. March 28, 5200 Portola Road in Atascadero

A person said a subject was attempting to train a dog on a walk and was being aggressive toward the animal. Officers were unable to locate the pair.

Drove southfor the winter

12:51 p.m. March 28, 1000 North Ferrocarril Road in Atascadero

A resident reported a man living in an RV in a driveway for more than a month. Officers checked on the man, who said he lived in North Dakota and was unable to return home because of weather conditions.

Several ≠ swarm

3:36 p.m. March 28, Santa Ysabel Avenue in Atascadero

A resident reported several bees swarming in the middle of the intersection. Officers determined the bees were not harmful to pedestrians or bicyclists.

Doesn’t seem worth it

2:40 p.m. March 29, Los Pueblos Avenue in Atascadero

A resident said someone broke into his car during the night. Taken were $1.25 in quarters and a $50 phone charger.

Smoking in the boys room

8 a.m. March 30, 1 High School Hill in Atascadero

Atascadero High School personnel asked for assistance with a student caught smoking. The 16-year-old boy was cited.

Go get ’em!

11:10 p.m. March 30, tip called in to police

A resident reported a possible Internet fraud on Craigslist regarding a Nigerian scam. The resident had already contacted Craigslist and the FBI.

Stranger danger!

3:12 p.m. March 31, 6501 Lewis Ave. in Atascadero

A citizen reported to an officer that there was a white van in the area with a sign that said “free candy.” Officers were unable to locate the van.

Yikes

2:10 p.m. April 2, 7495 Santa Ysabel Ave. in Atascadero

A resident reported a 5-year-old child throwing rocks at her apartment and shouting obscenities. A message was left for the child’s parents.
