The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department is providing a telephone hotline for three days in an effort to reconnect county residents with a large amount of stolen property that was recently recovered.
People can call 781-4517 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 7, 8 and 11 to make an appointment to view any of the $100,000 worth of stolen property recently seized in an ongoing investigation. Photos of the stolen goods are available on the Sheriff's Department website at www.slosheriff.org.

Sheriff’s officials say that anyone who believes that some of the stolen items might be theirs should view the photos, make a note of the photo’s number and then call to make an appointment. People are also encouraged to get a copy of the crime report from the local law enforcement agency and bring it to the appointment. Rightful ownership must be proved using a serial number or model numbers if the theft was not reported.
The items were recovered by sheriff’s detectives who originally served a search warrant and arrested a Paso Robles parolee on March 16 after finding firearms, drugs and suspected stolen property in his storage unit at 50 Abby Road in Templeton.
Nicholas Eugene Noochi, 32, also had a .357-caliber handgun in his possession, according to detectives. Noocchi is currently on non-revocable parole, which led to the search of the storage unit.
While at the storage facility, detectives said, they discovered a sawed-off shotgun, marijuana, methamphetamine and heroin, along with prescription medications, power tools, jewelry, sound equipment and a substantial amount of cash and coins.
Detectives served a second search warrant at the storage unit and recovered items worth more than $100,000.
Noochi was booked into County Jail on suspicion of receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance while armed, carrying a loaded firearm, being a felon/addict in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. He was still in custody Wednesday afternoon in lieu of $200,000 bail.
