A 36-year-old Grover Beach man was arrested this morning on suspicion of violating four restraining orders after San Luis Obispo County sheriff’s deputies received a report of a man hiding in the attic of an Oceano home.

Manuel Heredia Hernandez was also arrested on suspicion of burglary, a felony, and possession of burglary tools, according to Sheriff’s Department spokesman Rob Bryn.

Hernandez was on probation for a previous domestic violence case in Santa Barbara County, he said.

Deputies went to the home in the 2000 block of Paso Robles Street after receiving a call at 8:14 a.m. from a woman who believed her ex-husband was inside the residence, Bryn said.

The woman had received text messages from Hernandez, who described the inside conditions of the living area as only someone who had been inside the home would know, Bryn said.

Deputies found Hernandez inside the home, in a cardboard box used for laundry in a closet. He was arrested without incident, and remains in County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
