A 36-year-old Grover Beach man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of violating four restraining orders after county sheriffs deputies received a report of a man hiding in the attic of an Oceano home.
Manuel Heredia Hernandez was also arrested on felony suspicion of burglary and misdemeanor possession of burglary tools, according to Sheriffs Department spokesman Rob Bryn.
Heredia Hernandez was on probation in connection with a previous domestic violence case in Santa Barbara County, he said.
Deputies went to the home on Paso Robles Street between 19th and 21st streets after receiving a call at 8:14 a.m. from a woman who believed her ex-husband was inside the residence, Bryn said.
The woman had received text messages from Heredia Hernandez, who described the inside conditions of the living area as only someone who had been inside the home would know, Bryn said.
Deputies reportedly found Heredia Hernandez inside the home, in a cardboard box used for laundry in a closet.
He was arrested without incident and was being held in County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
