The Atascadero Firefighters Association will host a free breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. Sept. 17 to accept donations to help send children to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation camp, provide college scholarships for local high school students and purchase firefighting equipment.

The breakfast, sponsored by Spencer’s Fresh Market, will be held at the market located at 8665 El Camino Real in Atascadero. A second event is planned for 6 p.m. to midnight Nov. 6 for the association’s annual Fireman’s Ball at the Taft Barn and Ranch, 10120 Santa Clara Road, also in Atascadero.

The public event includes a cocktail hour, gourmet dinner prepared by the association and Atascadero’s Guest House Grill, live music and a live and silent auction.
