Dylan Gavin hit a two-run double, Matt Orloff added an RBI single, and the San Luis Obispo Blues overcame an early deficit to beat the Orange County Pioneers 3-2 in a summer collegiate baseball game Tuesday at SLO Stadium.
Gavins seventh-inning double tied the score at 2 after the Pioneers had taken a two-run lead in the third.
Orloff singled in Gavin a batter later to give the Blues (28-16) the lead for good.
Mike Kindel added two hits for San Luis Obispo, and Sean Johnson picked up his 11th save of the summer with a perfect ninth inning.
SLO Rattlers 4, MLB Academy Barons 2
Richie Mirowski pitched eight effective innings, Daniel Howell hit a three-run double, and the San Luis Obispo Rattlers won in Compton.
Mirowski allowed two runs one earned on six hits while striking out eight to get the win.
Howells double capped a four-run eighth inning after being held scoreless through seven.
Incoming Cal Poly freshman Jimmy Allen had three hits for the Rattlers (20-23,10-22 California Collegiate League).
