Public told to limit eating Oso Flaco Lake fish

People should limit how much they eat fish caught at Oso Flaco Lake, according to an advisory issued Sunday by State Parks.

A study by the state’s Regional Water Quality Control Board found that goldfish, hitch and largemouth bass had higher-than-acceptable levels of some pesticides in the coastal lake southwest of town.

The advisory comes after a two-year study of fish in lakes throughout California, according to State Parks.
