Blues lose before record crowd in Marysville
The San Luis Obispo Blues dropped an 8-4 decision to the Marysville Gold Sox on Saturday in front of a record-high crowd of 3,801 at Appeal-Democrat Park in Marysville on Fireworks Night.Logan Todd picked up the win for Marysville (17-6), allowing three runs on nine hits in 72⁄3 innings while striking out five and walking none. Todd threw 103 pitches for the Gold Sox while no one on the Blues threw even as many as 50.Justin Lindsey (1-1) took the loss after allowing five runs on eight hits in 22⁄3 innings.
A.J. Robinson and Andrew Collazo had two hits apiece for the Blues (16-9), while Ryan Aguayo, Matt Juengel and Rafael Neda had a hit and an RBI each.The Blues, who are in the process of playing 16 games in 16 days, will play the Gold Sox at 7 this evening in the finale of a two-game series.MLB Urban Academy 9, San Luis Obispo Rattlers 4
Daniel Howell hit a two-run double to give the Rattlers a brief 3-2 lead early but the Barons scored six late runs to pull away for the road win.Marc Damon took the loss for the Rattlers (9-16, 3-15 CCL).The Rattlers will host MLB Academy at 1 this afternoon in game two of a three-game series at SLO Stadium.
