A Nipomo home was damaged by a fire early Friday morning.

The small fire started in the back of the home at 477 Amado Street at approximately 2:45 a.m., according to a Cal Fire news release.

Damage was estimated at $75,000 to $100,000. Red Cross was called out to assist the residents.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
