When: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fridays through Aug. 27

Where: Mission Plaza, 1000 Chorro St., San Luis Obispo

What: San Luis Obispo’s concert series kicked off June 4 with a swinging performance by The Viper Six, but there’s still plenty to come. Groove to reggae favorites Resination and The Shival Experience, savor the soulful rock of the Damon Castillo Band or boogie down to the Latin dance band Zongo All-Stars.

SATURDAY IN THE PARK

Where: Atascadero Lake Park, 9305 Pismo Ave., Atascadero

What: The House Red Band brings its premium blend of blues, rock and soul to Atascadero in July. Other acts include The JD Project, the Martin Paris Band and Big Daddy’s Rhythm and Blues Band.

SIZZLIN’ SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

TWILIGHT CONCERTS IN THE PARK

When: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fridays, June 18 through Aug. 27

Where: City Park Gazebo, 11th and Park streets, Paso Robles

What: Rock cover band Rhythm Method gets things going this month, followed by The Mighty Croon Dogs. Music fans have their pick of country (Monte Mills and The Lucky Horseshoe Band), funk (Grüvething, Funk:30), salsa (SLO Mambo) and sizzling world fusion (Incendio).

VILLAGE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Where: Rotary Bandstand, Heritage Square Park, Nelson and Mason streets, Arroyo Grande

What: Arroyo Grande’s summer concert series kicks off later this month with down-home bluegrass courtesy of The Grass Less Traveled. Audiences can also expect to hear New Orleans-style jazz performed by pianist Sonny Carl Leland and the Creole Syncopators, Celtic-influenced Americana by Little Black Train and blues by Code Blues.
